YOUR GUIDE TO A PERFECT SPRAY TAN APPLICATION
Follow these steps and you’ll achieve a flawless tan within minutes.
Prep your skin!
It’s so important to exfoliate prior to tanning so that you are starting with a clean canvas. An exfoliating mitt and a gentle body wash will help to prep your skin, however avoid products that contain oils, as this can act as a barrier. Our Pure Fiji cream scrub works perfectly to prep the skin. Don’t forget to dry your skin well, then you are ready to apply!
If you are shaving, or waxing, make sure you do this a day or so before tanning, shaving after will most likely remove your tan.
Hydration is key for tan longevity!
Jbronze tanning products include luxe, natural skin caring ingredients, like macadamia oil, shea butter and argan oil –some of the top ingredients to keep skin hydrated and provide antioxidants and nourishment but in addition always moisturise and moisturise some more! At least 2 times a day after the tan has settled in. Ask your therapist for the perfect moisturizer for your aftercare.
Help yourself apply an even tan
All Jbronze products are tinted for easy application, so you can see exactly where you are applying, so there are no surprises! Start with the main areas of the body – legs, back, stomach, then concentrate on the trickier parts – knees, elbows, hands – always go lightly on these areas! We have testers for the Jbronze range in salon and are happy to demonstrate just how easy the products are to apply.
What to wear?
Having a spray tan in salon: Come in wearing loose dark clothing something that you wouldn’t mind getting any excess tan on. If possible coming in bra-less or wearing a strapless bra will help ensure that there is no rubbing on your skin prior to your tan. Un-enclosed footwear such as thongs are perfect. Ensure you are not wearing any jewellery that could be damaged and have your hair up and off your face. Keeping in mind we sell the perfect tanning dress in salon, so if you are coming straight from work that’s no problem at all.
Tanning at home: You’re at home! Wear as minimal as possible to ensure there is no rubbing on your clothes. Have your hair up and off your face and remove all jewellery that could be damaged.
When applying or having your tan applied:
It is important that your skin is free from any moisturizers, perfumes/deodorants and preferably free from makeup. If you are coming straight from work and have no time to remove any of this, advice your therapist that you are wearing any of the following and they will give you the appropriate removal method before starting your tan.
